“I use a pencil to flesh out the basic shape. Then I apply ink to outline the design, let it dry and erase all pencil lines. If I am going to include color, I will apply watercolors, colored pencils or a combination of both. Then the fun begins: with a variety of different nib sizes, I begin adding patterns to the form.”
