  • 60 min
What you need:
  • Black & orange photo cardboard
  • Connector paint box with opaque white
  • Clic&Go water cup, Paintbrush
  • Black Grip felt-tip pen,
  • White crayon (e.g. Colour Grip or Notebook & Blackboard pencil)
  • Grip pencil, Scissors

Step 1

Print out the template for the bat on A3 paper. Glue the template onto black photo card and then cut out the shape along the outline. Delicately draw the letters of the word "HALLOWEEN" on the surface with a pencil. Distribute the letters well over the entire width.

Step 2

Now you can design the letters with fingerprints. For a strong shade of red, you can make a nice mixture of red and orange in the transparent lid of the Connector paint box. Paint the outer edge of your little finger with colour and print all the edges of the letters that consist of lines (for example, H, A, L, N, etc.). To print the O or the short line of the A, use the tip of your little finger.

Step 3

In the next step you paint drops of blood with a brush at the end of each letter.
And the word becomes a little bit creepier!

Step 4

For example, use your thumb and black paint to print the body of a spider on orange photo cardboard and then use a black Grip felt-tip pen to paint the spider's legs and eyes. Cut out the outline with a little space - and your Halloween spider is ready.

Step 5

To make bright colours stand out nicely on black cardboard, it is sometimes advisable to make a fingerprint with opaque white first. Let the white colour dry and then use the same finger to put the light colour on the white.

You can also achieve a higher opacity by applying several layers of the same colour on top of each other.

Step 6

The little monsters are also quick to make. Choose a strong colour and make an impression on black cardboard with your thumb or index finger. When the paint is dry, paint on the teeth and eyes with opaque white. When the paint is dry, use the black felt-tip pen. Use it to draw the mouth and eyebrows. Finally, use a white crayon to draw arms, legs, hair or horns and cut out your finished monster with a gap. I'm sure you can think of all the wildest monsters you can make using this pattern!

Step 7

Glue the monsters, pumpkins or magic hats onto the free areas of the bat and distribute other decorative elements around the bat, for example in a spider web.

Step 8

You can also create your own Halloween invitations with fingerprints! Print monsters, spiders and bats on blank cards or print black eyes and the mouth of a little ghost on white card. With the combination of opaque colours, opaque white, felt tip pens and white crayons, you have great materials for painting and drawing!
